Five Golden Bosses...
As promised, here are the cookies all packaged up along with the Boss Ornament Tree cards from the previous post.

Too bad they don't have scratch and sniff monitors so you could smell the anise flavor of these cookies.

One happy recipient got a good chuckle out of the card. After sampling a cookie he commented that this was the first time he'd had cookies like this since his Sicilian grandma passed away. How sweet. Well, not that his grandma passed, but that my parents' cookies could bring back a good memory of her.
One down, four to go.

How To Gain Brownie Points With Your Employers This Christmas
I have five "bosses" and wanted to give them each a batch of cookies specially made by....my parents. Yeah, I was too lazy to make some myself, and besides, my parents' cookies are world famous.
I wanted to make a card to attach to each bag of cookies and somehow I got the brilliant idea to draw a portrait of each boss. I don't know where this idea came from at all but this is just another example of how an idea pops in my head and must work its way out. Oh, and did I tell you these things always happen at the last minute? Yeah, I don't really like that aspect of it, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles, I guess.
So, after holding my folks hostage Sunday evening until they made a perfect batch of cookies, which don't even have a proper name, I drive home to get to work on the card. My brain is ticking away as I am driving home. "Okay, after you draw them, then what are you going to do with them?" I know it'll all come together in the end. It always does.
At home, I sit down and quickly sketch each boss with a mini sharpie. I'm far from good at any kind of drawing. My talents lie more in the design department, so why I chose to do this is still beyond me at this point. I just know I have to do it. After I finished drawing the five bosses, I scanned them into photoshop and cleaned them up a bit. Why didn't I just draw them in photoshop to begin with? Well, I only have a mouse and if I can hardly draw with a pen, then there's no way I can draw on a computer with a mouse.
One idea literally leads to another and finally I come up with this...

'Christmas Tree With Boss Ornaments'
Gotta love photoshop.
I'll post the finished products, cookies and all, later. Right now I gotta get to work....for the five bosses.
